Girl Scouts Visit Water Plant
Water Plant Operator Randy Price led Girl Scout Troop 10945 through the City’s water treatment facility as part of their “Wonders of Water” (WOW) journey. Co-leader of the group, Melanie Charles, says this journey is teaching the Daises and Brownies about the “water cycle, water conditions around the world, and young girl initiatives to save water.” Next, the Troop has plans to visit Amicalola Falls State Park. During this exercise the Troop will explore the life of the creek in order to learn more about the quality of the water.
